I had my 35 week checkup yesterday which included an ultrasound. The doctor said that everything looked really good with the baby. They approximated the baby's weight at 6lbs 2oz. The baby has moved down into position so I shouldn't have to have a c-section this time, barring any unforeseen circumstances. The doctor is still telling me he thinks I will go to term. I haven't had any of the pre-term labor or other complications that I had with the twins. Here is the picture we were given from the ultrasound. It is a profile view with the head on the right and the leg over to the left. You can see one eye, one ear and the little nose at the top. Then the belly, the arm laying over the chest then the leg. We were able to see the baby very well, however the picture doesn't show as well as what we were able to see. The baby was moving a lot so it all comes down to when they snap the picture as to what you will get. I decided once I was in there that I wouldn't ask for a 3D picture this time. We've decided we can wait the last 4 weeks out to see what the baby looks like better. We were able to see from the ultrasound that the baby has some hair and also has chubby cheeks (which the ultrasound technician kept commenting on). :-) So the appointment went well and it looks like I'm on track to have a decent sized baby. This one is already bigger than either of my first two were, but still much smaller than the first two were combined. Only 4 weeks to go!
