Raegan is starting to walk...with a walker...

Raegan playing the keyboard. We found this hair bow downstairs and stuck it in her hair. I don't think she liked it.

McKinley Museum

Our friend Angie went with us to the McKinley Museum in Canton last Friday. They have a historical area focusing on William McKinley's presidency and also historical artifacts from that time period. They also have a science area, which the kids really enjoyed. Here are some pictures from our trip.

These were taken right outside of the museum. William McKinley, his wife and two young daughters are entombed in the dome.

Raegan is 10 Months Old!

Yesterday Raegan turned ten months old. She had quite an eventful day. After dropping off the twins at preschool she went to the bank and to the library with mommy and then came home for a nap. After her nap it was time to pick up the twins from school. We met our neighbors and friends Jace & Laney at McDonalds for lunch and then hit the park. The kids played on the playground and then we went for a walk. The kids rode their bikes and scooters around the walking path. Then they wanted to play on the playground a little more. Raegan enjoyed watching everyone play, but I think she would have really liked to have been down and running around with them. It was a little difficult to keep up with the kids because almost every kid at the playground was wearing green for St. Patrick's Day! After we got home and had a snack the kids played outside some more. And even more when Daddy got home. We don't get these wonderful mid sixty degree days often in the middle of March! We had to take advantage of it! After our long day of play, Raegan was able to do one of her VERY favorite things: take a bath! She loves the bath.

Raegan's second tooth came in on Sunday, so now she has both her bottom ones. I don't think it will be a real long time until her top two come in. How many more do we have to go? Sigh.... :-)

Raegan has also began taking a few steps while holding on. She walks around the coffee table (slowly) or while holding on to the couch. She has also become quite the pro when it comes to crawling....she's fast!

Update

There is a lot going on here! We've had a busy couple of weeks. Raegan has really gotten this crawling thing down. She is everywhere. She really enjoys being mobile and doesn't like to be stopped for too long. She is having a great time going from toy to toy. Her first tooth has come in enough now that I was able to get a glimpse of it with the camera. I think you can see it shining in this picture.
Raegan also had her 9 month check up last Tuesday. The doctor's visit went very well. Raegan is now weighing in at 22lbs 4oz and is 28.5 inches long. She lucked out and didn't have to have any immunizations this time, but did have a small finger prick to check her iron levels (routine check). She is looking good and healthy and is right on track. She is now eating lots of table food. She's eating green beans, carrots, potatoes, bread, banana and small pieces of apple. She loves to eat what mommy and daddy are eating.

Also, last week, Brandon decided he wanted to be a big boy and start using the potty. As many of you know, we have been working on him for over a year now, but he's a stubborn little guy and he was going to do it on his own time. He has picked it up really well and has only had a couple of accidents. After a week of going to the potty (and filling up his potty chart with stickers) he got to go to Toys R Us and pick out a toy. Natalie also got a toy when she learned to go potty, so it was now his turn. He has had his eye on a scooter every since he used the neighbors scooter last year, so that's what he chose. Here are a couple of pictures of him with his new toy and Natalie with her new bike (Gammie & Papaw bought the kids bikes for their birthday).
Finally, I had LASIK last Friday and it went very well. I am so surprised at how quickly the surgery was done and how I was almost completely back to normal 24 hours later. I'm still putting in eye drops four times a day, but that will start tapering off soon. The doctor says I have 20/15 vision. It's amazing!
